    Prompt Generation

    Petra offers engineers that build custom tooling to programmatically identify relevant prompts that you should be tracking at scale.

    First, we build custom web scrapers that monitor online forums and places where real users discuss problems that they have. These can be forums like Reddit and LinkedIn. We then use natural language processing to filter, contextualize, score, and clean this data into usable prompts that we can track.

    Sometimes we will also make custom data purchases from clickstream vendors or opt-in panels that aggregate real user AI search history at scale. Turning these data sources into one-size-fits-all queryable engines is difficult. Using them on an ad-hoc basis for each client is much easier, and allows you to get much better insight and results.

    AI Visibility and Insights

    Once we have a set of prompts that reflect real user search behavior, we track your brand's performance on those prompts using our software. There's a few modules included in our software, namely:

    • Visibility: What % of queries do you show up in relative to your competitors?
    • Average Rank: When you do show up, how high on the list are you?
    • Citations: What are the sources that shape AI's perception of you and your competitors' brands?
    • Sentiment: How are you described by AI systems? What pros and cons do they associate with your brand?
    • KPCs: How does AI perceive you relative to your competitors against the most important customer Key Purchase Criteria (KPCs)?
    • Insights: What are the next steps you should take to improve your AI visibility and sentiment?

    To arrive at these insights, we "ask" AI tools the natural language prompts many times, at scale, until the results standardize. This is important because LLMs are probabilistic models, not deterministic ones. As such, unlike traditional search engines, we need to run many simulations to get the true answers. These simulations form the basis of our software's insights.
